Photographing Large Groups with Flash and Pocket Wizard Radio Triggers

Sometimes its not possible to use heavy and not very portable studio lighting particularly when you are almost always working solo.

The really nice staff at York University wanted a quick informal group portrait of their incoming first year students. I had noticed previous pics were struggling with low ambient light. Also I wanted something that wasn't a trip hazard where new students would be milling about

Solution.... Using the upstairs balcony I set up a Nikon SB910 flashgun and a Nikon SB800 flashgun mounted on TMP041016-059York University Ist Year Law StudentsGroup Portrait using Nikon Flashguns and PocketWizard Radio Triggers Pocket Wizard Flex TT5 Transceivers with one mounted on camera to transmit to the other two flashguns. Using an ISO of 800 and after a few test shots I quickly was able to get some very acceptable images. www.terencemichaelphotography
